Plans for Teaching and Learning January 2021

Below are the plans for Teaching and Learning for January 2021 in light of the Government announcement yesterday regarding school closures for January.

Collecting items from school:

• You should have received a text on Thursday afternoon 7th January which outlines the time slot for your daughter/son to collect items from their lockers:
  • Friday 8th Jan 8.30am – 11.15am: 6th Years can access school to collect items
  • Friday 8th Jan 11.30am – 1.30pm: 3rd Years can access school to collect items
  • Friday 8th Jan 1.45pm – 3.30pm: 5th Years and Transition Years can access school to collect items
  • Monday 11th Jan 8.30am – 12 midday: 1st Years can access school to collect items
  • Monday 11th Jan 12.30pm – 3.30pm: 2nd Years can access school to collect items
• Please sign in and out on the sheets at front desk
• Students should not be in the building for longer than 5-10 minutes
• Students should not use this time to socialise
• Students should go to lockers and nowhere else in the building – No toilet access

Online Learning Plans:

• Monday 11th Jan: 
  • 6th Years / 3rd Years / 5th Years: Online classes for these year groups as per timetables
• Tuesday 12th Jan:
  • ALL STUDENTS have online class as per the timetables
• ALL Students must make sure they are enrolled in the Google Classroom.
  • Check their emails
  • They have been given the instructions and codes by teachers
  • Codes can also be found here:

    • 3rd Year Classes and options
    • TY Classes and options
    • 5th Year Classes and options
    • 6th Year Classes and options
• All classes will be 45 minutes long
• Classes will start at the time that is stated on the timetable

6th Years coming into school 3 days per week:

The Department of Education changed its mind and all teaching for all year groups will be online.
