At Presentation Community College the Guidance & Counselling teacher helps students make informed personal, educational, training and career decisions. Students are provided with information about career pathways: Further Education, Apprenticeships, Universities, and Training Programmes in Ireland and abroad.
Students are guided to set realistic personal and career goals and develop the skills necessary to accomplish these goals.
The service also offers students support in coping with personal problems or academic concerns.
The guidance counsellor is a member of the Student Support Team which meets weekly to coordinate support for students’ wellbeing, learning and social/emotional needs.
