Enrolment Information Update – Presentation Community College for September 2019
This document is to inform you about the process of offering places and waiting list operation.
We have received an unprecedented number of applications (253) for September 2019. As a result, we are heavily oversubscribed.
Offer letters have been sent in the post to the students who meet the initial criteria as laid out in our Enrolments Policy:
- Living in the parish of Terenure
- Attending either Presentation Primary School or St Joseph’s Primary School (neighbouring parish schools)
- Has a sibling in the school
- Has a parent who has attended the school previously
After this all other applicants were listed in order of date of application received.
The offer letters were sent to a designated number of these applicants.
All others were placed on a waiting list – again determined by date of application.
Offer Letters give a deadline of December 7th to accept/not accept places.
When we receive acceptance or refusals at that stage we will go to our waiting list in order to offer the places to the next student on the list in order. This process will be done initially by phone in order to speed up the process and give clarity to all before Christmas. We will update our list early in the week starting 10th December and we will be in touch to update applicants who are on the waiting list towards the end of that week.
Any applications that arrive after today will be placed at the end of the waiting list.
